Oral Health Condition of Employees in Pusan

Abstract
This research was conducted to understand the related factors of oral disease by analysing oral health behavior about employees¡¯ oral examination result. 717 persons of oral health examiations in Pusan were examined from August 1, 2011 to August 30, 2011. Data were analyzed with a Frequency, x2-test using SPSS 18.0. Results are as follows. 1. There are 269 persons (37.5%) related to dental caries and 407 persons (56.8%) related to periodental disease among examinations. 2. Regarding relativeness between subjective oral health condition and oral disease, as subjective health condition was better, dental caries were lower (p<0.05). Periodontal disease was not related to subjective oral health condition (p>0.05). 3. Regarding dental clinic visit experience for the past 1(one) year and scaling experience for the past 1(one) year, men were higher (p>0.05) and as they were older, that was high (p<0.01). 4. Regarding Dental caries according to oral health behavior, in case there was no experience on visiting dental clinic for the past 1 (one) year (p<0.01), in case there was no experience on scaling for the past 1(one) year (p<0.01), in case of less than 2 times of toothbrushing (p<0.05)...etc., it was high. 5. Regarding periodontal disease according to oral health behavior, in case there was no experience on visiting dental clinic for the past 1(one) year (p<0.05), no experience on scaling experience for the past 1(one) year (p<0.01) and in case of smoking (p<0.01), it was high. Conclusion. Dental caries was high in case there was no experience on visiting dental clinic for the past 1(one) year, no experience on scaling experience for the past 1(one) year and less than 2 times of toothbrushing...etc (p<0.05). Periodental disease was high in case there was no experience on visiting dental clinic for the past 1(one) year, no experience on scaling experience for the past 1(one) year and in case of smoking (p<0.01).
